that actually seemed to be part of my problem too, bc my crashfest started after an update. Regarding the comment above (nvidia drivers). it was so broken, i had to save/load my way thru fights basically saving every time i attacked. i crashed 1-2x within 6hours i played, next day my game crashed literally every couple of minutes. while i was able to run the game on my older pc without any issues, my current win11 machine did struggle.
